Company ecology

1,600 gigawatt hours of Grimsel hydroelectricity is certified "naturemade basic". A logical step, therefore, was the introduction of an ecology management system  which will be certified ISO 14001 in 2008.

This UMS system looks at reducing the damaging effects that the KWO company may have on nature and man. We are improving our handling of dangerous goods, oils and lubricants. We want to ensure that, today and in the future, any dangers to nature or man can be minimized or eliminated.
